Our Town Rockville BROADCAST TITLE

Peerless Rockville recognized Maryland Public Television with the Wagman Award, which honors outstanding achievement by members of the broadcast media whose work has heightened public awareness of Rockville’s architectural and cultural heritage, growth, and development, for their quality production “Our Town Rockville.” The latest in a series of programs produced by Maryland Public  Television to showcase Maryland municipalities, this documentary program illustrates what makes a community a special place to live and work.  Using film footage and commentary from Rockville residents, this 60-minute program features local landmarks and points of interest with residents telling what they like about life in their community.  In addition to interviews with local historians, the documentary was produced to tell the historical and cultural story of Rockville, including neighborhood development and some of the changes to the City over time.
