Montgomery History Conference
Saturday, January 28
This year’s conference includes a personal story of a Montgomery County man’s service in World War I, breakout sessions featuring such varied topics as the architectural history of the Jewish community, the unique Warren Historic Site, Latino immigration, archaeological work at Oakley Cabin, the pivotal election of 1962, and a retrospective of historic preservation efforts. “History Gems” features distinctive artifacts from five local museums, and “History Tools” on preservation techniques for local burial sites. The final session on WHFS 102.3 FM has documentary clips and a panel discussion of the legendary radio station.
