Presentation:  Twinbrook—The Quintessential Postwar American Suburb

Please join us for a presentation on the history and development of Twinbrook, the largest suburb in Rockville built after World War II.  The presentation by graduate students in historic preservation from George Washington University will cover developer Joseph Geeraert, the design and remodeling of houses, landscaping, and the people who bought the houses.

Peerless Rockville presents Preservation Awards to honor individuals, groups, businesses, and institutions whose projects, activities, and/or programs enhance or protect Rockville’s heritage and architectural character.  This marks the 29th year that Peerless has recognized outstanding achievement in preservation, new design and construction, heritage outreach and education, and other awards categories.
